The owners of this beautiful Victorian terrace have recently extended their kitchen area to include the side return- vastly opening up space and creating much more light. The kitchen leads to a lush green patio area through french doors which, together with the skylights, offer plenty of natural light.
Solid wood kitchen cabinets crafted in a Shaker style with a large rustic island crafted, this kitchen incorporates a mix of floor-to-ceiling, wall-mounted and base cabinetry. The homeowners wanted a clean and functional space, with plenty of storage.
The cabinets include deep and shallow drawers and cupboards for storing utensils, kitchenware and crockery, whilst the floor-to-ceiling cabinetry houses a breakfast nook and pantry, with door-mounted custom spice racks, and an integrated fridge-freezer.
The work surfaces are a mix of elegant Kashmera quartz for the perimeter and solid character oak for the island, creating a pleasing contrast of natural and luxury materials. The island features a large overhang, with room for ample seating for dining and socialising without compromising on storage underneath.
The cabinetry has been hand-painted in our custom Dix Blue which subtly alters from sage to misty-blue as the light changes. The handles are a mix of knob and cup pulls, in a complimenting burnished brass. The sink is a hand-crafted ceramic Ribblesdale by Shaws of Darwen, offset by the black Quooker tap with integrated system.
