Woodhouse Lane - 4.jpg

Oak Avenue

The owners of this home dreamt of an open plan traditional style oak kitchen, with rustic and quirky features. The semi-detached Victorian home has been beautifully restored and extended with a large kitchen diner. Transforming the original small and dark kitchen into a spacious open plan space, perfect for modern-day family living.

Our in-house team designed this solid oak veneer kitchen, with a glass cabinet and island unit, making the most of the space and giving a bright and airy feel, whilst keeping the traditional and quirky style of the home.

Throughout this oak kitchen, a mix of knob, cup, pull handles have been fitted, perfectly blending the traditional style cabinetry with modern appliances and fittings. The base units have been hand-painted in Vert de Terre and fitted with Cotswold Drawer Pulls finished in burnished brass.

Our clients requested a practical storage unit to keep various appliances within easy reach but also tucked away. We created a large worktop cabinet with shelves, a wine rack and bi-fold doors to keep the families appliances neatly stored away. The wall unit has been hand-painted in Farrow and Ball shade Off White and fitted with Armac Martin Cotswold Ball Knobs finished in burnished brass.

The clients opted for a large butler style sink from Shaws of Darwen and a burnished brass tap to match the cabinetry handles. A Cotswold Cupboard Catch has also been fitted on the cupboard underneath.

Our team built a bespoke island unit with Quebec wood stained in antique pine, which has then been waxed to give a rustic look. The island features a large shelf and two drawers featuring bespoke utensil storage. Each drawer has been fitted with an Armac Martin Leebank Pull Handle finished in antique brass.

The large glass cabinet has been designed to store a large collection of plates, serving dishes and glasses. The large doors feature glass panels, showcasing the interior of the cabinets. Each cabinet features adjustable shelving, giving the client the option to adjust the shelving height depending on the cabinet's contents. Our team hand-painted this wall unit in Farrow and Ball shade Pitch Black before fitting two Cotswold Ball Knobs in burnished brass. Cotswold Cupboard Catches have also been fitted to the top two cabinets.
