A closer look at Hale Barns

Let's take a closer look at one our favourite projects from 2022, Hale Barns. A beautifully curated home, deserves a kitchen to match. Throughout the design process for this kitchen, it was essential to curate a space ideal for hosting and socialising. Similarly, the bi-fold doors leading out to the garden encourage Alfresco dining, bringing the outside in, and making the most of the clients well-curated home.

The doors to the utility room were carefully designed to be consistent with the rest of the cabinetry, ensuring an uninterrupted, seamless finish. In addition, the homeowners wanted a large utility space with ample storage. A mix of cabinets, drawers and a corner storage unit ensures every corner of this kitchen is utilised as best possible, whether for oversized items or their knife collection.

The Thomas James Bespoke chopping board emphasises the homeowner’s love for cooking. A cleverly designed hob ledge was essential for the homeowner’s everyday cooking utensils, such as chopping boards, and the storage inside the chimney was perfect for spices, cookbooks, etc. All uniform and seamless into the kitchen island, with under-counter cabinet storage and detailed moulded edge.

The LeCanche Cluny Classic range cooker stands in front of a beautiful vintage mirror splashback with a Westin Prime edge extraction. A Miele fridge and freezer , Shaws of Darwen sink and Quooker Fusion tap were carefully selected to compliment the space. Within this room, an entertaining area was curated, with two pocket door bifold units to hide away the space when not in use.

The large, stained oak media unit featuring wine coolers and fridges, makes a statement at the opposite end of the room and neatly houses and stores appliances. All bars have bespoke glass holders, internal lighting and aged mirrored backs to illuminate the space-all; the cabinetry is finished with Thomas James Bespoke Sea Foam.
