Handle Finish - Burnished Brass

Burnished brass is a popular handle finish on kitchen and utility room cabinets and drawers. The aged appearance gives each handle a unique look, adding texture and subtle detailing to a kitchen.

Our team recently installed this beautiful kitchen, glass wall cabinet and island unit in a clients home. The cabinets and drawers feature a mix of handle styles each finished in burnished brass.

Each handle has been produced by our brand partner Armac Martin. Their diverse collection of handles are each expertly crafted a short journey from our Darwen workshop, and each features the highest level of craftsmanship and detailing.

About Burnished Brass

To create the burnished brass finish; a light antique patina is applied to a brushed satin finish; the handle is then placed into a barrelling machine full of cones, giving the handle a naturally aged appearance.

Throughout this kitchen, a mix of knob, cup, pull handles have been fitted. This mix of handle types perfectly blends the traditional style of the shaker style cabinetry, with the modern appliances and fittings.

Each base unit has been hand-painted by our team in Vert de Terre and fitted with a Cotswold Drawer Pull in burnished brass.

The worktop appliance cabinet has been hand-painted in Farrow and Ball shade Off White, with two Cotswold Ball Knobs in burnished brass being used to open the large bi-fold doors.

The large glass cabinet has been hand-painted in Farrow and Ball shade Pitch Black and perfectly matched with two Cotswold Ball Knobs in burnished brass. Two Cotswold Cupboard Catches have been fitted to the top cabinets.

The clients opted for a large butler style sink from Shaws of Darwen and a burnished brass tap to match the cabinetry handles. A Cotswold Cupboard Catch has also been fitted on the cupboard underneath the sink.
