A look inside Nether Alderley: Bespoke Design That Transforms the Home

Updated: Apr 3

Here’s a look into some of our recent work at this multi-room project, where we not only designed a kitchen, but also a utility, media wall, bar cabinet and wardrobes. There were plenty of bespoke design elements to consider here, which has made it possibly one of our favourite projects to date.

Wide shot of kitchen design with kitchen island in the centre

The star of the show in this project was the kitchen and living area. There was a huge open plan space that looked out onto the surrounding fields, and made the ideal space for socialising with family in evenings. On the left-hand side of the room sat the living area, where we designed a bespoke media wall. The cabinetry was inspired by our heritage range, traditional in style, and hand finished in our bespoke shade ‘Forge Grey’ – a shade that many of our clients love for its timeless appeal. The internals have stained oak finish, complementing the cabinetry colour just beautifully.

On the right-hand side of the room sat the kitchen with a huge island with plenty of seating and storage. Top of the range Miele appliances were chosen for this kitchen – including an oven, microwave, warming drawer, hob, integrated fridge, and dishwasher. Central to the design sat a Shaws of Darwen Double Butler Sink with a Quooker fusion tap. Classic in style, with a contemporary edge.

The design seamlessly flowed into the adjoining room where we created their utility, a room where form meets function to transform their daily routine. In the room sat a washer, dryer, and additional fridge/freezer. A walk-in pantry was designed to allow for ample storage while saving valuable space in the main kitchen area.  Worktops throughout the design were Calacatta Gold Quartz – a beautiful but practical choice for busy family life.

On the opposite side of the house sat a dedicated room for entertaining. In here, we designed a beautiful bespoke bar cabinet to house the family’s collection of premium spirits, wines, and glassware. Incorporated in the design was a Caple Wine Cabinet, a Wine X Insert, and stained oak wine glass holders – a wine lovers dream! The design was finished with antique mirror splashback and LED spotlights to help illuminate the space and give a cosy, warm ambience where they can enjoy a drink in evenings.

Finally, we also created bespoke wardrobes in the hallway. These wardrobes were designed for the children of the family to keep their outerwear and essentials that they need to grab on the way out of the door. A beautiful but very handy feature in the home that helps to keep the hallway tidy and clutter-free!
