A closer look at our beautiful bespoke kitchen design in Hale

Updated: Feb 1

Let's look inside our most recent project completed in Hale. Our clients were a couple who loved the traditional style of a classic shaker kitchen, but also wanted to incorporate a modern twist through design choices and accessories. The space benefitted from a huge amount of natural light, looking out onto their back garden patio area. The amount of natural light in a space is a huge consideration when looking at colour and design choices.

For this bespoke kitchen design, the perimeter cabinetry was painted in our popular bespoke shade ‘Sea Foam’ – a colour we have featured on our kitchen display in the showroom, and one that clients always fall in love with when they see it. It looks beautiful in the sunlight shining through the window here and keeps the space feeling very open and airy.

The kitchen island is painted in a bold black colour and accessories throughout the design have been chosen to give the design a contemporary edge.

Worktops are a white quartz – a choice that offers both style and substance, being a practical and durable choice for your kitchen.

Shaws of Darwen sink and Quooker hot tap

Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a kitchen that will enhance our client’s day-to-day living. A key feature includes a hidden walk-in pantry in the corner of the design, cleverly designed to provide a huge amount of storage space. A larder cupboard with pocket doors has been chosen for the design too, to house a morning coffee station for their morning brew.

Of course there’s a Shaws of Darwen double sink, chosen for it’s practicality – for that extra space for cooking, cleaning and prepping when hosting friends and family. Shaws are always our go-to choice for our kitchens – beautifully-made, handcrafted fireclay sinks that fit right in within our traditional kitchen designs.

This has been paired with a Quooker hot tap. Most of our clients opt for this for their kitchen sink. Instant boiling water from your tap is a wonderfully convenient time-saver for when you're prepping food or making the morning brews. It's one of those features that you don't realise you need, but once you have it you'll never look back!

The real beauty of a kitchen is in what you don’t see. While the aesthetics of your kitchen are important, the flow and practicality is even more important for creating a kitchen that you truly love. We’ve incorporated features such as drawer organisers, pull out drawers and bins, and a mix of shallow and deep drawers to ensure everything in the kitchen has a rightful home. This will make navigating the kitchen feel easy, making cooking and hosting an enjoyable experience.

In the adjoining dining area, we’ve created a bespoke bar cabinet that creates the ideal entertaining space - housing their glassware and collection of premium spirits and wines. A bespoke bench seating was added underneath the window dining room window too, which opens up for additional storage. A beautiful but practical addition to the room which maximises the use of every inch of space.
